04 — Atelier / How it's made
Forty weeks between a question and an object. Walk the bench from research to the final piece — and choose how to see it: as drawings, as matter, or as the people whose hands it passed through.

Process — sheet 01
Charcoal first, never software. A sketch that takes longer than a minute is already too precious to throw away.
Process — sheet 02
Foam, plaster, cardboard, then the real thing. Each prototype answers exactly one question and is then allowed to fail.
Process — sheet 03
Samples live on the research bench for six weeks minimum: tapped, soaked, sun-bleached, handled. Nothing is chosen from a photograph.
Process — sheet 04
Tolerances, loads, cable routes, repairability. The object is taken apart on paper until every part can be replaced by hand.

The object leaves the atelier signed and numbered — with a service promise that outlives its warranty.
