Architecture — Jonas Weil — June 2026

The best buildings never tell you where one room ends and the next begins. They use light, compression and material to move you forward. Six thresholds we keep returning to — drawn, photographed and described.

T-01
01The compressed entryA low, dark passage before a high, bright room. You don't notice the ceiling rise; you notice yourself exhale.
T-02
02Light at the endPeople walk towards light the way plants grow towards it. A bright far wall is the only signage a corridor needs.
T-03
03The turned cornerHide the destination. A single 90° turn turns a hallway into a story with a reveal.
T-04
04Material changesStone underfoot becomes timber. Nobody tells you that you've entered a private room — your feet do.
T-05
05The enfiladeA line of doorways, perfectly aligned. You can see five rooms ahead and the building invites you through all of them.
T-06
06The window seatThe last room is always the smallest: a place to stop, sit, and look back at where you came from.

We designed this website the same way: rooms, thresholds, light at the end.
